Is Superman dead?

I recently heard from someone that the last superman movie was considered a bust and the company threw out the idea of a sequel. Is this true?

I hope not. I watched the last Superman movie and it was not very good. I do not think another one right now would be a good move.

I vote for superman being dead. How many different versions of this can you make, before you become tired of the idea of superman.
