I've been a devoted fan for many years, and I still consider "The Simpsons" one of the best shows ever. Anyone with me on this ? If so, I sure hope you have watched the movie. It is well worth it....doh !

The Simpsons is one of those rare shows that doesn't age very badly, even though at times some of its punch is gone because writers (Conan O'Brien, for one) leave the show or voice talent (Phil Hartman) is lost for good. I've been a fan since 1990 and I still find the yellow-skinned denizens of Springfield watchable and hilarious.
I have, sadly, not seen the movie.

I've seen the movie (loved it) but actually have never watched too many episodes until AFTER saw the movie, and I know this show has been around for quite some time. The movie made me a fan though, and I try to catch them each week now if I can. I can't say it's my favorite show or the best in my opinion, but it's pretty entertaining.

You really should take some time to focus on some of the humor that the writers get past the censors. For instance, one of my fave references is to the Springfield High Institute of Technology.
I also like the traditional Treehouse Horror specials that come early in each season.
About the film....I didn't see it; I don't like going to the theater alone and no one would go with me....

Yeah, the mix of high-brow humor (cultural references, allusions to movies, etc) and low brow is what makes The Simpsons so funny.
I wonder, though, how much tuition costs at Springfield High Institute of Technology?

I love the simpsons and over the years this has grown to be one of the best ever. What is there not to like about Bart Simpson and all the different things he does.

I also love the Simpsons, I rented the movie not too long ago off of RedBox, it was very funny, definitely worth seeing, kept me laughing. The series is hilarious too.

I don't like the fact that so many young children are into this show. This should be an adult cartoon and not meant for children.

My boss looks like Homer. I mean the bold, tummy and even facial expression. I have to bite my tongue to not to call him Homer...I mean no offense he is a nice guy, but I can't stop thinking getting him donuts...
