Ok, so this isn't a typical movie I would see, but I really like Will Smith and was looking forward to seeing. But three people now have told me that it was just beyond horrible. So disappointing because I figured I found a movie outside of the comedy and drama genre that I would really like !

You should still go see the film even though three people told you it was bad. It's not my cup of tea, either, but this is a real acting tour de force for Will Smith, and it's worth seeing.

Has anyone seen the original movie with Vincent Price named "The Last Man On Earth." That movie is much more like the original short novel by Richard Matheson.

That story was called "I Am Legend". If you haven't read it you must. It is a creation of pure genius. Remember Matheson was the first one to think of this idea.

I saw "I Am Legend" with Will Smith and really liked the film when I saw it at the theater.....until the ending. I thought the ending ruined the whole movie. I've been wondering if the DVD has an alternate ending on it.

I haven't seen the original with Vincent Price even though I did see a number of his films.

Seriously, DON'T listen to anybody that's telling you not to see it, waste your money, etc.

Honestly I didn't think I would like this movie either, but I went anyway to see it with my boyfriend who wanted to see it real bad. From the beginning to the end it was MY FAVORITE movie. I really thought I would hate it, but the whole movie creates action, comedy, sympathy, all these different emotions you feel for Will Smith and some of the other actors, don't want to give the movie away too much, so all I am going to say is SEE IT. It's my boyfriend and my favorite movie, and it is far from a waste of money.

It was an okay movie. I really like Will Smith and if your a fan of his you will probably like it as well. Everyone has what they like and dislike and I guess you will have to make that choice. Keep us posted if you go or not.

Man that movie was garbage. I don't even know why they made that movie. It was pointless and a waste of my time. The point to the story sucked because it lead to absolutely no where. It was slow as all get out and I fell asleep on every other part. Two thumbs down and a middle finger.

The original was fine and I don't think there was any need to remake this one at all, but it seems the "in" thing to do now--remakes of old movies.

Terrible. It just stole so much from 28 Days Later. This movie was pathetic and tried too hard with no script at all. I wish I could get my time and money back from having to see this in theaters, my brother dragged me along. I will never be allowing my brother to drag me along to another one of these again. :rolleyes:
