Indy IV and...What's your favorite Indiana Jones movie?

I'm so ready for May to get here. That's when the fourth Indiana Jones movie, IJ and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premieres. It has a great cast, including Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, Cate Blanchett, and Shia Lebouf. Because Ford is older and grayer, I can deduce that the film takes place after World War II and instead of Nazis, he'll be facing off against the Soviets. I am a big fan, obviously. I own all three existing films in the Adventures of Indiana Jones box set of DVDs, plus the first two Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, plus a genuine IJ hat!

Anyone else here a fan of Indy? Any thoughts on favorite films?

I can't believe I have never seen one Indiana Jones film. I did see part of one where there was a cute little asian kid (the one from the Goonies) and it looked interesting from what I saw, but I never took the time to sit down and watch any of them. I think I need to watch all the previous ones before I check out the new one.

You really should take some time and watch this series. Raiders of the Lost Ark is fun, smartly-written, and exciting. There's even a tiny grain of historical truth to some of its plot. (Not much, but a teensy-tiny one.)

And yes, I do think you might want to watch the previous films before heading out to the multiplex to watch the new Indy film! :D

I only remember seeing the Raiders of the Lost Ark. I did enjoy that movie--but I am not so sure I enjoyed it enough to be happy that there is a 4th one coming out. Although, I have to say my 3 year old is really excited. For some reason it is catching the little guys eye. I will probably be watching it soon..lol
