Saw: Scary or Not ?A

A friend recommended if I wanted to get a good scare , then I should see " Saw". Any opinions? I don't feel like wasting my time on another wanna be horror flick, and my friend is hit and miss when it comes to movies.

Um, from what I hear, Saw is very scary. I have not seen it, but maybe it's the type of scare you'd like.

For me it wasn't real scary, but my kids were scared watching it. It is a real good movie though and worth watching.

I've seen the first Saw movie, and it had more of a story than I was expecting, but I wasn't all that impressed with it.

But they keep making sequels, so it definitely found an audience.

I don't find the Saw franchise so much scary as just grotesque. The underlying premise and plot are not believable, so it's hard for me to put myself in the position of the victims, since no one is likely to really set up these impossible situations.

In the first one it was more psychological than anything else. As it was supposed to be. You kinda knew what was coming up.
The second and thrid followed a same formulation.. not realy scarey.
But the last one was more mind bending by far.
I really rate the alst one a killer movie by far one of the best out there.

the saw movies are very disturbing.. exploding heads, dismembered bodies.. it is not recommended for weak hearts.
