Though I am a big movie music fan and enjoy the work of many composers (Jerry Goldsmith, Michael Kamen, James Horner, Miklos Rozsa), my all time favorite is John Williams' 1977 score for Star Wars a.k.a. Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope,

I think this soundtrack is going to remain among the "classics" as long as it continues to be available to listeners. I've bought every edition, from the original (and incomplete) version 1977 LP and its various reissues on cassette, eight-track tape, and CD, to the one mentioned in your review. (That includes the 1993 Soundtrack Anthology edition and the 1997 Special Edition, which is identical to the one you wrote about, with the exception of the new packaging and no liner notes.)

That's a great soundtrack. I guess my favourite parts that I can recall off the top of my head are definitely the main theme, and the music that the band's playing in the cantina.

I have the box set of the original three.
