The Alien series

One of the most uneven series - good mostly, but uneven - is the Alien Quadrilogy which began with 1979's Alien and ended in 1997 with Alien Resurrection and starred Sigourney Weaver as Lt. Ellen Ripley, who had the misfortune to encounter several of the aliens known as "xenomorphs.'

While all four have their good points, I think the first two are the best ones and the series could have - should have - ended there.

What do you all think?

I don't know. I like them all, I guess. Three is sort of weak and hard to understand at times, but it's not too sucky.

I didn't like the way the fourth one ended, I have to admit. The story wasn't bad, but the ending bothered me a lot.

I don't think I've seen the last couple, but I really liked the first one when it came out.

I remember that they had to cut some footage from the original release. I assume that's part of the DVD now?
